We would love to hear your feedback on the Rift CV1 and how you think it compares to the alternatives out there.

I tried the Rift about 2 months ago at a friend's house.

On the surface, it's a nice lightweight headset, feels sturdy, surprisingly enough but the experience was severely limited as I wear glasses. The screens are very close to the eyes so there's very little room for a pair of spectacles. A big minus for me.

The pull down headphones felt really cheap and didn't offer the best audio experience. However, the tech demos I played were of high quality (loved Epic's street war with the mech at the end and the little ginger fox platform game). The sense of depth and immersion felt great and didn't require a spacious surrounding, unlike the HTC Vive (I do want to try this however).

The "taste" I had was hindered due to me being a glasses wearer. I hear the DK2 model has a deeper front/revised screens so spec wearers can enjoy the experience.

In short: an impressive yet stunted/gimped first experience.
