What is Leisure1000? / What is leisure1000?

When we thought of the concept of leisure1000 we wanted somewhere that you can hang out with friends but not get boring.
We missed our younger years of going out clubbing and pubbing and enjoying good music and a drink. Soon you will be able to do all of this again.
Imagine not having to leave your lounge to go to a night club or bowling or even to meet up with friends! You can get to meet new friends just like in real life and even have a drink! (and its cheaper buying from a shop to have at home :) )

We want leisure1000 to be your local hanging out place, your typical fri and sat night for fun.

Features / Movement in game

leisure1000 will use free locomotion and movement and will offer the option of teleporting.

You will also be able to access the in game tablet and teleport direct to any activity

Features / Character customisation

On release we will have a few character models in place. This will be head and hands for characters.

After EA release we will be working on many more to be released gradually

Here is a list of games and features coming after release.

-18 hole mini golf course

- Playable arcade machines

- Skeeball

- Pool

- Swimming pool and jacuzzi

- Grab Machines

On release of Leisure1000 the following features and games will be present.

- Bowling, full 10 frames with upto 3 players on each lane.  There will be 8 lanes in total meaning upto 24 players can bowl at any time.

- Table tennis 3 table tennis tables will be present with 2 players per table.

- Air Hockey 2 air hockey tables will be in the main leisure room for up to 2 players per table.

- Hole in one golf 2 hole in one machines for up to 1 player per machine.

- Sports bar The sports bar will be open 24hrs a day to sit back relax and watch some tv/listen to music

- NightClub The Night club will be open between 8pm - 2am UK time and the same in US time daily

All of these features will be present in the EA release of leisure1000

Development UPDATES / Dev progress 24/01

Currently we have reworked the following :

- Jump Scares, we have adjusted these to be a more random event and less predictable. We also hope they do not feel "cheap" anymore.

- The teddy bear, When he walks across the room this was more a placeholder for him and he is now a part of the experience.

- Player position, This should be fixed in our upcoming update but there are a few things to keep in mind. It is advisable in any VR game to reset the view before playing, In Oculus this is done by the home button on the Xbox Controller and through steam this is done via room setup. In SteamVR it is important to make sure you are in the blue circle on the floor, this means you are at the correct VR position. You can press R in game to reset position too.

- More rooms in the house. This is going to be pushed with our motion controller integration and have actual movement within the house. This update will take time as there is a lot to do with scripted events and the likes. You will NOT require motion controllers for the experience version which will also be included.

- Better sounds, whilst we think the sounds lend to the experience volume levels etc.. will all be adjusted to be equal.

- Lighting, improve on this somewhat to make sure not only is it a nerving environment but you will also not miss things due to darkness.

When will it update?

Like anything we cannot guarantee an update time or date due to unknown development issues that may arise but we will be pushing small updates soon for positions and some other things

We will be pushing a new update on 23/10

Changelog

- Adding new bits to the experience
- Changed the Safety screen to read abit better
- Changed doors for better looking ones
- More edits to sequences so they look better
- A fair few new little changes but will not list them here so as to not spoil them.
